Jewelry Is Often the Most Disputed Small Asset
An undervalued or undisclosed piece can cost a client real money. A neutral, documented value settles the argument before it starts.
Equitable Distribution Reports
Fair market value reports for equitable distribution, with the valuation date and standard stated clearly.
Neutral or Party Appraisals
Jon can be jointly engaged as a neutral or retained by one side, and the report says which.
Verification of Disclosed Values
An independent check on values listed on financial affidavits and in discovery.
Buyout and Sale Support
If one spouse keeps or sells pieces, the appraisal sets a supportable number, and Jon buys privately with no obligation.

Attorney & Fiduciary FAQ
Which valuation date do you use?
The date your matter requires, typically the date of filing or a date set by agreement or court order. We confirm it with you at the start and state it in the report.
Can you appraise pieces the other party holds?
Yes, with access arranged through counsel. We come to the location, and when access is limited we work from photographs and documents and state the limits in the report.
Neutral or one-sided appraisal?
Either. A jointly engaged neutral often settles a dispute fastest. The report states who engaged the appraiser and why.
Can the jewelry be bought out?
Yes. If a spouse wants to sell, Jon buys privately and the appraisal supports the price. There is no obligation to sell.
Do you work directly with attorneys?
Yes. We work with divorce attorneys, mediators and CPAs, and with clients directly when that is easier. Reports and communication go through your office when you prefer.
